Port puts stylish foot forward at Modèle13 fashion show

Port’s historic Sugar Wharf hosted the inaugural Modèle13 fashion show on Tuesday night, with seven local boutiques and designers proving locals are spoiled for choice when it comes to the latest trends.

Some of the region’s top local talent walked the runway for Attitudes, Lorna Jane, The Eye, Tshinta, Charlee Can Jewellery by Rachael Fisher, Ives Mensland and Tzusk, showcasing ladies and men’s clothing and accessories. Stylist Jen, from Jennifer Campbell for Hair, tamed models’ locks.

Modèle13, Carnivale’s top fashion event and the brainchild of Claire Tierney and Annetta Tantanis, also gave a nod to eco fashion, with recycled plastic transformed into a collection of one-time wearable art.

Lucky local and visiting fashionistas scored prizes for best jewellery, dress, shoes, and bag, and sustainable guest goodie bags delighted with vouchers and freebies from the event’s fashion brands and sponsors.

Collections from Modèle13 boutiques and designers are available in stores now.
