Old Fella has The Clink in raptures

Following a final four appearances on Australia’s Got Talent, retired farmer, Rod Gregory brings his Aussie stand-up comedy act to The Clink, Wednesday, June 5 at 8pm.

Admitting he was worried he would go nuts in retirement, Rod re-invented himself as a stand-up comedian connecting to audiences nation-wide through the delivery of the good old Aussie sense of humour, gusto and ‘have a go’ attitude.

The Old Fella has been taken to regional, remote, outer urban communities, as well as the big cities with Rod’s clever use of risqué Aussie humour entwined within stories that successfully send infectious laughter rolling throughout audiences, breaking down barriers between age, gender and beliefs.

Forced into retirement at age 67 after three back operations, Rod’s life completely changed, admitting he had never felt more alive than when he was performing.

After only 12 months as a performing comedian, he auditioned for Channel Seven’s Australia’s Got Talent hoping for just two minutes on national TV. He came fourth in the 2011 Grand Finale.

The Old Fella has also just released his first CD and it’s sure to plant a smile on the faces and in the hearts of all who hear no matter where they reside.
