Man charged over Palates bus crash

A 66 year-old Port Douglas bus driver has been charged over the crash that occurred on route to last year's Port Douglas Carnivale Palates of Port.

On the night of 18 May 2012, the bus carrying more than 20 passengers rolled into a creek on Connolly Road, Mowbray, sparking a forensic crash investigation that led to a charge of one count of Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle being laid on Monday.

The man will appear in Mossman Magistrates Court on 29 May.
