For anyone confused, the Douglas Cricket Association this season fielded two third grade senior sides due mainly to an exodus of former second grade players.

The commencement of the season saw two-day fixtures with the grade divided into divisions. Muddies had their “Blue” team in the Southern division and a “Green” team in the Northern division.

“Blue” finished second on the ladder earning a finals birth, and oddly that will probably be against co-team “Green” who finished top of the ladder in their division.

These finals are played in March and currently both teams are in a single division 30 over series, whereby the two teams will play one another February on 10 at home in Port Douglas – a Club first!
