The elves are playing tricks in the Douglas region and The Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce needs your help to sort it out! 

Join the crazy Christmas chase to win The present that Santa left behind!

All you have to do is find the weird and whacky item in the window of each of the participating Douglas shops. 

Then fill out the attached entry form and return it to: Natural Clothing Store at Port Village Shopping Centre or Scuba Dave at Wharf St (behind Hotel) in Port Douglas or Raine & Horne, 37 Front St, Mossman or any participating business (from list below) for your chance to win the present that Santa has left behind as our way of saying 'Thank You' for sorting out those cheeky elves!

This is a competition for all kids. 

The aim of the competition is to check out the shop fronts of the participating businesses and identify the 'odd' object displayed for a chance to win an activity package from local operators and lots of runner up prizes.

How to enter:
• Grab an entry form from any business with the elf in the window OR print out a copy by clicking on the link here ENTRY FORM (click here) OR email the secretary (see below) for a copy -
• Return the entry form to the places on the bottom of the entry form or post to PO Box 27, Port Douglas, 4877
How to play:
• Go to each business on the list. You can check you have the right place because they will have a number in their
window
• Check out the window and find the weird thing the elves put in there – maybe a can of beans in a shoe shop or a
cricket bat in a dress shop (hint - don’t forget lots of shops will have Christmas decorations in their window but
they aren’t weird!)
• Write it down on the entry form on the same line as the business name
The rules:
• The competition will run from 19 December 2012 to 7 January 2013
• Only entries on the Official Entry Form will be accepted
• The completed entry form must be received by the Port Douglas Chamber by 11 January, 2013
• Entry is free

The small print:
The competition is open to all primary school age children, local and visitors. Each entry will be judged for correctness by members of the PDCC committee. The correct entries will be put into a draw for the first prize.

Draws will be held for all donated prized including for incorrect entries if there are sufficient donations.

Winners will be contacted by phone and announced in the Gazette on 17 January 2013. The competition is being organized by the Port Douglas Chamber of Commerce and the email contact is secretary@portdouglaschamber.com.au
