Cairns Regional Council advises that its customer service offices will close at 1pm on Monday, December 24, reopening on Wednesday, January 2.

An after-hours call centre will operate for urgent matters, contactable via the regular customer service phone numbers: 4044 3044 or 4099 9444.

Cairns Libraries branches will also close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and reopen on Thursday, December 27. Libraries will again close at 1pm on December 31 and remain closed on New Year’s Day.

Waste transfer stations will be closed on Christmas Day, with regular opening hours on other days.

Kerbside waste collection will continue as normal, regardless of public holidays.
