"Superhuman" dancers set to wow crowds
Students of Bodies in Motion Dance School invite you on a journey across an array of breathtaking dance performances at their end of year production - When Dance Takes Over.
The 200-strong cast and crew ranging from two years of age to 60 years plus will come together to wow audiences over two shows at the Sheraton Mirage Glade next Saturday 8 December.
This will be the dance school’s first concert under the direction of new principal Saskia Turner.
“With less than two weeks till show time, it’s really starting to hit home that the year is almost over” Saskia said.
“It’s been a crazy ride, but will definitely have been all worthwhile when I see the kids up on stage.”
Students have been rehearsing for the show since July and have worked hard to ensure the show is one to remember.
“The amount of talent we have at the school will absolutely blow you away. It’s going to be an amazing show, I can’t wait,” she said.
The theme is based around a boy who discovers he has a superhuman power - the ability to dance.
“If you think about it, dancers really do possess superhuman qualities; amazing strength, extreme flexibility and uncanny balance. Even doing a simple pirouette is defying gravity, let alone a no handed cartwheel or a back flip,” Saksia said.
Bodies in Motion Dance School’s end of concert “When Dance Takes Over” is proudly sponsored by not for profit organisation Committee in Motion.
