Blue blow Toads away

Three balls is all it took for the Muddies Blue to win their first outright match of season, triumphing by an innings and 35 runs over Mulgrave Toads.

The boys made the long trip south hoping that Mulgrave would make a game of it with two wickets remaining, but Dave Johnson had other ideas and was planning a quick trip home. With this first ball he took the top of off stump.

The next ball was just outside off stump and was played at and missed by the Mulgrave batsman. Dangerous Dave put his third ball of the day right on middle stump with a great Yorker to have Mulgrave all out for 25 in their second innings.

Dave Johnson took Man of the Match with three points with figures of 10 for 10 off 14 overs. Adam Lucas took 2 points for his first innings heroics and that Hat Trick.  Rob Gaul picked up 1 point for his 50 runs.

The Muddies Blue also want to congratulate the Skipper and Muddies Green players for their first outright win for season with a great win over Norths. Both team are looking in good form with only two more games left in the two-day format.

Muddies Blue's next game is at Fuller Park against Innisfail who are also undefeated and promises to be a great game.

This is Captain Simon Cody logging off.
