Seabean the place to be seen
The race that stops a nation is just around the corner, and Port Douglas in known to get into the Spring Carnival spirit as well as any town.
Saint Augustine's Primary School will be holding a fundraiser at Seabean Port Douglas with all the trimmings for the avid race goer.
Starting at 11.30 on the first Tuesday in November, there'll be a tapas banquet menu and glass of wine or bubbly on arrival, a cash bar for those who want to let their hair down from their fascinators, and heaps of great prizes for best dressed and best head wear.
A Melbourne Cup sweep will be held and there'll be a raffle with an incredible romantic getaway up for grabs.
Tickets are $65 per person and all money raised will go to Saint Augustine's Primary School.
