Men’s Results

Congratulations to all the players who attended the Super Challenge on Saturday in South Johnson. In particular, congratulations go to Bernie Wolland who won the singles and to Davey Blain and Cal Wills on their win. Keep up the good work!

Social bowls results:

• J Beasley, L Valentine and Doug Pitt def. D Head, Ted Pitt and D Johnson 23-18
• A Christie, Dick Pitt and G Bolton def. R Vlug, B Barabas and Zilly 23-17
• Prizes went to B Hando, R Williams and E Holdcroft who defeated J Prammer, C Andreassen and T Pisot 25-12.

Next Saturday will be Jackpot bowls as usual and on Sunday morning the final of the Handicap singles will be played between R Ashford (+2) and B Wolland (-5).

A reminder that players need to register for the classic fours competition as soon as possible. Also a reminder that the Super Challenge against Mareeba will be played at Mossman on Friday 28 September at 6pm.

Ladies Results

Congratulations to Bev Zillfleisch, Sonia Edwards and Maria Mijo on winning the graded triples. They defeated Janice Brlyack, Jean Marsh and Greta Burke in the final.

Social bowls was won by Denise Highland, Carmen Bolton and Val Sharpe. Robyn Petrus won the raffle.

Championship triples start on Thursday with Maree Crees, Bev Zillfleisch and Maria Mijo verses Robyn Petrus, Jean Marsh and Zina Girgenti. Greta Kessler, Margaret Cooper and Janice Brlyack verses Sylvia Patterson, Joan Day and Barbara May.
