The winning streak for Port Douglas restaurants continues, and this time it's the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas putting the town's name up in lights.

In Brisbane last weekend, the Sheraton Mirage's Lagoons Restaurant was honoured in the QHA Awards for Excellence 2012 for Best Casual Dining Restaurant. The resort was commended for achieving excellence in their day-to-day business.

"The Queensland Hotel Association Awards for Excellence recognises the initiative and dedication of our hard working associates," Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas general manager Lachlan Walker said.

"We are extremely proud. Congratulations to the team."

Port Douglas restaurants featured prominently in the Savour Awards held in Brisbane last week, while Mocka's Pies won a number of medals at the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition in Melbourne.
