The greens are in great shape, and 43 players competed in last Tuesday's Stableford event.  The winner was Brian O’Connor with 44 points ahead of Bob Slade with 43 and John Hawes with 42 points.

Nearest the pins were Ralf Middel on 6, Cameron Walton on 8, Peter Hornsby on 10, Don Demler on 13 and George Page on 17.

Wednesday’s 9 hole Sporters event was won by Barry Costain with 23 points on a count-back to Don Demler.

Thursday’s Ladies event was won by Bev Cowe with 42 points ahead of Leonie Phillips with 37 points on a count-back to Glenda Christensen. Nearest the pins were Glenda on 6, 10 and 17 and Bev Cowe on 8 and 13.

The Friday Frolic was won by N. Foard with 20 points on a count-back to Greg Walker.

Saturday’s event was a Par Competition. Here are the results:

• Division I was won by Ralf Middel with +2, second place Art Howard  +1 on a count-back to John Deuble.
• Division II was won by Bill Allison with +2 on a count-back to Tony Hirst and Geoff Goodwin.
• Nearest the pins were John Petherbridge on 6, John Deuble on 8, Art on 10, Ian Steley on 13 and Brett Jurie on 17.

The Ladies Par event was taken out comprehensively by Shirley Carney on +6 and second place Judy McCormack on +1. Nearest the pins were Judy on 6 and 10, Katie Brims on 8 and Glenda Christensen on 13.

Sunday’s Stableford event was won by Christie Bouwkamp with 38 points and second place Gert de Wilde with 36 points. Nearest the Pins were Joe Wild on 6 and Jeff Bochow on 8.

Mossman Golf Club is holding their AGM on Sunday 23 September at 9.30am, followed by a fun event, the AFL and NRL Challenge sponsored by Mossman Auto Repairs.
