For the second year running, Flames of the Forest has been awarded by readers of SPICE Magazine, a top five place in the publication’s “Best Regional Venue” category for 2012.  

SPICE, a meeting and incentive publication, asked readers to name who is “best in business” across a range of services and suppliers within Australia.  Flames of the Forest, was the only venue north of Brisbane to be included in the list.  

“We were excited about our inclusion last year, so to be included again this year is simply fantastic," Sales and Marketing Manager at Flames Natalie Johnson said.

“In such a stunning regional area with so much natural beauty and fresh local produce, creating events in the rainforest is really satisfying. 

Ms Johnson said Flames' inclusion will help bring a focus on the Douglas region as a whole.

"Flames is part of a greater regional offering including luxury hotels, resorts and sensational attractions – so we hope this inclusion in the HOT 100 will continue to focus the spotlight on Port Douglas as the premier destination for the conference and incentive market.”

In recent years, Flames of the Forest was awarded the 2010 Australian Traveller Magazine “Top 100 Greatest Australian Gourmet Experiences” accolade, was a finalist in both the 2009 and 2010 Australian Event Awards “Best Venue” category and a “Best Regional Venue” winner in the SPICE Hot 100 Services and Suppliers in 2011.
