Silky spa makes Top 10

Silky Oaks Lodge' Healing Waters Spa has been named amongst Australia's Top 10 hotel spas to relax by 'Traveller,' Fairfax media's travel section.

A recent survey commissioned by Hilton Hotels and Resorts indicated the importance of spas to visitors. Just over half of Australians polled said a spa facility was a big part of their decision making process, while 84 per cent of Chinese indicated it was important in choosing an accommodation house.

Silky Oaks Lodge owner Paul Van Min said a significant investment had been made to ensure the lodge maintained its premium status, but said they had not yet experienced an influx of Chinese travellers as their current preference is to travel as part of a larger group, rather than as Free Independent Travellers (FIT).
