Player shortage hits DNA
Injury and sickness caused three teams to forfeit from Douglas Netball Association matches this week, leaving six senior competitive teams to battle it out.
Division 1 Crocs were a combination of Crocs 1 and 2 this week, as illness hit hard. Young Guns defeated the mixed Crocs' team 58-12, with Guns' Bec Nelson and Crocs Jodie Francis being names Best and Fairest.
Rattle was outplayed in the attacking end this week with a 37-13 loss to Cougars. Cougar’s Gemma Gwilliams dominated Rattle’s attacking end, earning her best and fairest, along with attacking player Nichelle Pitt.

Reptos took on the Breakers this week and came out with a 25-4 victory. The Breakers, despite the loss, still put up a strong fight. Breakers' Georgia Dunkan took out the Best and Fairest for her strong defensive work.
