It was another tremendous afternoon of competition for both locals and visitors on Saturday’s Jackpot bowls.

Dick Pitt and D Blain def. Morrie and C Maxted 26-15
G Marsh, G Storm and C Wills def. R Vlug, P Gorsuch and Kiwi 23-9
The winners of the day were S Chatterton, L Valentine and J Fary who defeated G McLean, C Dwyer and Doug Pitt 38-19.

A reminder that next weekend MMBC will host the annual Sugar Festival with Ladies competition on Friday with a 10am start, Mixed on Saturday with a 1pm start, and Men’s on Sunday commencing at 9am.

Social bowls was played and the winners were Maria Mijo and Margaret Cooper (2w+9). Robyn Petrus won the raffle.

Thursday 16th August Janice Brlyack and Dorothy Kostyrka will play Maree Crees and Val Robinson with the winners to play Jan Gard and Estelle O’Rourke in the final on Thursday 23 August.
