Men’s Results

The A Grade pairs competition saw C Andreassen and N Tesch defeat G Wilmot and J Girgenti 25-17 while C Wills and T Brylack defeated R Edwards and P Cleary 24-13.

In social competitions J Maxwell, T Pisot and C Maxted def. A Christie, S Jellis and E Verbi 21-16. S Chatterton, Doug Pitt and J Bull def. B Davies B Field and D Johnston 29-20, G Marsh, G McLean and D Blain def. J Bensley, R White and J Fary 14-24.

The winners of the day were D Head, Kiwi and B Wolland who defeated B Harrington, Zilly and D Egan 27-10.

B Wolland took out the A Grade singles in a tremendous match against D Blain while the semi-finals B Grade went to Cal Wills who defeated Colt Dwyer 26-18.

Next week will see Doug Pitt and R Ashford play T Brylack and C Wills in self-selected pairs.

Final competitions in B Grade will be played on Sunday between C Wills and S Jellis. Handicap singles will be D Blain (-5) vs S Chatterton (+5), T Pisot (+2) vs B Wolland (-5).

Ladies Results

Social bowls was enjoyed by 24 ladies resulting in two drawn games. Maureen Tucker, Val Sharpe and Jean Marsh (+21) and Janice Brlyack, Margaret Cooper and Barbara May (+21). Carole Maxted won the raffle.

Graded pairs recommences Thursday 19 July with Carmen Bolton and Barbara May verses Maria Mijo and Judy Maxwell. Jan Gard and Estelle O’Rourke verses Zina Girgenti and Carole Maxted. Triples nominations close 26 July are advised to see Games Director Val for details.
