Tight tussle sees Crocs triumph
The Port Douglas Crocs journeyed to Holloways Beach on Saturday to do battle with Cairns City Lions. The opening quarter was a bruising physical affair with neither team willing to take a backward step.
The game was fast flowing and both teams managed to score goals frequently. Unfortunately the Crocs' run of injuries continued with Alex Bendle sustaining a broken ankle.
The second and third quarter followed the same trend and spectator interest was maintained due to the close scores.
The last quarter was a thriller with both teams giving it their best. The Crocs' boys took out the game due to their more accurate kicking for goal in the last quarter.
