Men’s Results

It was another action packed weekend in men’s bowls with both social and club competitions.

In pairs competition on Saturday R Ashford and Doug Pitt def. L Valentine and Zilly 15-14 while R Edwards and P Cleary def. S Chatterton and K Pitt 24-17.

In Fours competition S Parkes, J Sellars, J Girgenti and T Brylack def. E Pitt, C Pitt, Dick Pitt and D Blain 27-12.

In Social bowls A Christie, C Dwyer and T Pitt def. J Maxwell, C Andreassen and Kiwi 23-18. P Morrison, R Williams and C Maxted def. P Liddle, S Jellis and R Gard 20-15.

The winners of the day were R Pitt, G Wilmot and D Egan def. S Renton, G Marsh and P Gorsuch 34-8.

In A Grade singles on Sunday C Maxted def. S Jellis in a very tight game 35-22.

Next week's competition on Saturday will be D Egan, C Dwyer, S Jellis and L Valentine vs T Brylack, J Girgenti, J Sellars and S Parkes in championship fours.

On Sunday A grade singles will be; B Wolland vs D Egan, and C Maxted vs D Blain. B Grade singles will be s Jellis vs J Sellars. Handicap singles will be R Pitt + 5 vs R Gard +2, R Ashford +2 vs G Marsh +3, and D Pitt -3 vs P Cleary -1.

Ladies Results

Mona Carson Day has finally been played and won. Winners were Denise Highland, Barbara May and Jenny Avis (+12). Runners up were Kay McDonald, Kaye Dean and Estelle O’Rourke (+12) and third place were Robin Petrus, Judy Maxwell and Val Robinson (+12).

Lucky raffle winner was Barbara May. Thursday 17th May will be practice for pennant which will be played next week. Good luck ladies.
