A field of 39 men competed in Tuesday’s Blood Orange Monthly Medal event. The winner was Brett Jurie with a nett 70, second place Bruce Cheesman with a nett 71 on a count-back to Ralf Middel. 

Nearest the pins were Wayne Soxsmith on 6, Cameron Walton on 8, Barry Brims on 10, Ralf Middel on 13 and Simon Nelson on 17.

The winner of Wednesday’s nine hole event was Kerri-Lynn Williams, with second place Shona Barbour. Nearest the pins were Kerri-Lynn and Brett Jurie.

On Thursday 19 ladies competed in the Lucy Giles Monthly Medal, and the winner was Bev Cowe with a nett 72.  Second place was Julie Hooker with a nett 74 on a countback to Treveen Page and Lucy Giles.
 
Nearest the pins were Gayle Healey on 6, Lucy Giles on 8, Patti Graham on 13. Lucy Giles won the putting competition.

The Club has introduced a Friday Frolic special (9 holes of golf, shared motor buggy and shared 6 pack in ice for $30 per player). The winner was Brett Jurie.

The Saturday Monthly Medal was sponsored by Steve Harris Painting Services, and a great field of 65 enjoyed the day.  The winner was P Liddle with a nett 64, and runner-up James Doolan with a net 68.

C Grade gross winner Ed Sant and C Grade nett winner Norm Lockwood.

The Ladies Monthly Medal was sponsored by The Combined Clubs, and the winner was Shona Barbour with a nett 71 on a countback to Lyn Heimann.  Third place was Bev Cowe with a nett 72.

Nearest the pins Shona on 6, Shirley Carney on 8, Bev on 10, Trish Landy on 13 and Christie Bouwkamp on 17.

Sunday’s event was dominated by a double Deuble.  Ken Deuble took the honours on a countback from brother Brett Deuble, both with 40 points.

The Ladies Matchplay team travelled to Mareeba and halved their match against the Half Moon Bay Ladies.
