Defence key in senior netball
Round three was in full swing with all but one game being very low scoring proving all teams are giving it their all and making each other work for each and every goal.
In the closest game of the night the Central Cougars defeated Rattle N Hum by only four goals, with a final score of 12 – 8. The second quarter of the game only saw two goals proving both teams left nothing to chance and defended strongly.
In the second A Grade game of the night the Young Guns took home a win against Crocs A. The Guns started off strongly with half of their total goals scored in the first quarter. Despite the Crocs' best efforts to come back the Guns' defence was simply too good winning with a final score of 24 – 6.
The Crocs B team had a better performance with a win over the Ring Ins. Although they started off slowly with only two goals in the first half, they picked up their game and took the win with 17 goals to 6.

The Jets and Gunnars had a very even start holding a draw by half time but the Jets took the game home with a win of 14 – 7. Gunnars rewarded Jets' shooter, Estha Nulty, for the best player of the match.
Bits & Pieces had the edge over Wolverines every quarter taking the game 16 – 8. Wolverines' shooter, Nadia Zigas, and Bits & Pieces' centre, Hiromi Wall, were awarded the game’s best and fairest players.
Lastly, the Reptos dominated their game with a massive 30 – 2 win over the Breakers. Reptos simply got better with each quarter and only allowed the Breakers a disappointing two goals.
