Meet the young stars of gymnastics

The Mossman and Districts Gymnastics Club have racked up a fantastic year of achievements in 2011, not least of all the continued development of their young gymnasts.

Today we have a chat with two of these up-and-coming stars, Della Miller and Shayla Frizelle.

DELLA MILLER

Erin Frizelle: How long have you been doing gymnastics?
Della Miller: Three years.

EF: Do you participate in any other sports?
DM: Ballet.

EF: What is your favourite piece of apparatus?
DM: Floor.

EF: What was your best competition moment?
DM: Going to Townsville. It was my first time there.

EF: How do you stop yourself from feeling nervous at comps?
DM: Breathe in and breathe out.

EF: What’s your secret that gives you the edge?
DM: Practice.

EF
: Would you like to be a junior gym coach one day? Why/Why not?
DM: Yes, because you get to teach people.

EF
