Crampton named Sharks B&F

An outstanding vein of form which earned him a string of games with the Northern Pride has seen Davin Crampton named Mossman-Port Douglas Sharks’ best and fairest for 2011.

The 22-year-old centre, who grew up in Normanton and played AFL throughout school, had showed such impressive form with the Sharks at the start of the CDRL season that it earned him a Pride call-up on May 8.

Crampton suffered from a knee injury in the middle of the CDRL/QRL season and made his return to the Pride through the Sharks, allowing him to pick up the Sharks B&F at the Daintree Inn on Sunday.

Supreme Mossman athlete, Peter Tuccandidgee also picked up two awards as the Sharks most consistent and best back, while Travis Hall was named best forward.

In the A Reserve, best and fairest honours went to Brandon Ford, while best forward was Rowen Hart, best back Nigel Bowen and most consistent Richard Ford.

Clubman of the year honours went to Peter Vassalini, while Ethan Hoffman was named colt of the year.
