U10 Crocs win Grand Final
by Kylie Cox
The Crocs Under 10s ran out with a full team for their final game of season 2011 - Grand final day at Cazaly's.
The Port team were up against a strong City Lions team and had to be on the ball from the start. And what a start they had with Bryce Bakker, Ryan Bourguignon, and Toby Ellison totally dominating the centre clearances.
The Crocs piled on the goals and with some awesome teamwork from Dylan Collyer, Jacob Rich, Anthony Long and Rory Nyko, the boys went into half time with a big advantage over the Lions.
The second half was a tight contest with the Lions coming back strong but with Jack Harrington. Casey West, Leon Wren and Daniel Davidson providing the team with great run from the backline the boys managed to keep their noses in front.
Tyson Lynch and Reuben Allison finished the last Quarter with some great goals to finish the season of on a high.
All the boys had a fantastic game to finish the season and coach Rod Davidson was very proud of their efforts and would also like to thank Tina Mellington, our team manager, for her great work through out the season.
Presentation night will be this Friday at the Sports Complex 6pm start.
