Your hero shots

The winners of The Newsport's Best Photo competition for July have been announced, in what was the biggest month of entries in the competition's history.

Trevor Ford was awarded the Best Photo winner for July with his stunning 'Cloudy reflections, Quaid's Lake' earning him a cool $100 cash.

Competition newcomer, Louise Fossilo, took out second place with her artistic 'Alone at Thornton Beach', while Richard Hopper (a tough man to beat in any month), and Ruth Ross took out equal third.

Louise will have her shot immortalised on a stretch canvas thanks to Image Bank Australia, while Richard and Ruth earn themselves a delicious bottle of wine to be enjoyed while taking their perfect sunset shots.

The Most Popular Photo public vote was hotly contested as always, but at the polls closure, Glenda Cornwill's 'Room with a view' triumphed.
