The winner of The Newsport's Best Photo Competition for June has been decided after much deliberation from the judging panel.

But tough decisions were made and finally top honours were awarded to Sue Ralston's 'Water droplet on leaf' due to the great level of detail and artistry captured in the shot.

Sue takes home $100 cash thanks to that one classic photo - but she wasn't the only winner for the month.

Second prize, a stretched print on canvas from Image Bank Australia valued at $75, goes to Cathy Ford for her stunning photo entitled 'Majestic flight of the Sea Eagle at Wonga Beach.'

And finally, the judges have awarded third prize, a lovely bottle of wine, to Susanne Stannard for her 'Red Starfish.'

And you've had your say too with over 100 votes being registered for the Most Popular Photo category. Voting came down to the wire, with Trevor Ford's 'Cape York Sunset' and Richard Hopper's 'Divine image of St Mary's By The Sea' receiving a prize.

Trevor and Richard will be each taking one lucky friend to Daintree Station for the ride of their lives on the thrilling Jungle Ball.
