Need a tradie? Look no further

The Newsport has responded to feedback received from its readers and has this week launched its online Trade Directory.

Now that The Newsport has the biggest local direct distribution available in the region (currently over 6,000 weekly subscribers and 3,000 daily readers each week), many readers have been asking for more services to ensure all the information they want is at their fingertips.

The directory is very quick and easy to use which is always an asset in times of an emergency.  Whatever category or type of tradie a reader needs, it is just one click away and usually has a link from the selected listing direct to the  tradies website or email to make contact very quick and easy.

A real benefit for both readers and tradies is that the tradies don't have to worry about whether their information is up to date because their contact details can be amended anytime, there's no waiting for the next print run.

The Trade Directory is very useful for interstate readers who may have an investment property in Port Douglas. Now they can still contact a local tradesman to fix their problems...well, trade related anyway.

Of course the new directory is being promoted daily on The Newsport and directs readers to the Trade Directory.

One of the most amazing benefits for both the user and the listed tradies is the Google search.  All readers have to do is enter, the company name if known, the trade required, and 'Port Douglas' and the directory entry will appear on Page 1 of Google search pages.

The Trade Directory is up 'live' on The Newsport this week.  Why not give it a try? Its easy to identify any trade categories and the listings are growing everyday, so if any of the tradesmen are too busy to book you in, you'll always have an alternative on hand to help.

And remember, The Newsport is available on your computer at home or office, your iPhone, iPad, and any other internet device. This is the most environmentally friendly directory in the area and it's completely free to use.

Attention Tradies
