Ladies Bowls

Our Ladies A grade Pennant team acquitted themselves admirably last week by finishing well up the results ladder. Good on you Ladies.

Greta Kessler and Jan Gard defeated Carol Maxted and Janice Brlyack in the Championship pairs. Social winners were Maree Crees, Margaret Cooper and Maureen Tucker with runners up being Carmen Bolton, Glenys Sharp, Clair Holloway and Joan Day. Raffle was won by Janice Brlyack.

Championship Triples will be played Thursday 16 June with M Cooper, M Tucker and J Brlyack vs M Mijo, Z Girgenti and R Petrus. E O’Rourke, C Holloway and K McDonald vs J Day, J Marsh and J Gard. Selectors for June are Joan Day and Margaret Cooper. Ladies meeting is deferred until 16 June.

Men’s Results

Welcome to the many visitors on Saturday and hope to see you again. Men’s Fours semi final was played and Tony Brlyack’s team of Bob Day, Al Cooper and Merv Radlof struggled to a win over Doug Pitt’s team of A McDonald, Richard Pitt and George Wilmot.

Meat tray winners were Cal Wills, Graham Bolton and Graham Marsh who is thinking of opening his own butchers shop soon. Other winners – Colt Dwyer and John Standish +16, Rod Parkes and Kiwi Beaumont +8, Andy Christie and Bob Gard +8.
