Thanks to the Mossman Memorial Bowls Club, here are the latest results and news.

Ladies Bowls

Winners for Sunday were Jan Gard’s team and runners-up were Maree Crees’ team. The raffle was won by Glenys Sharp.

The final of the championship pairs will be played on Thursday between Carol Maxted and Janice Brlyack against Greta Kessler and Jan Gard.

The 2011 Pennants season has arrived and the Shield teams will practice on Thursday.

Men’s Bowls

Saturday’s Pairs championship game resulted in a win for Nev Tesch and ‘sub’ Jim Bull over Rod Parkes and Colt Pitt. Other winners on the day Kel Coxted, Peter Cleary and Al Cooper all took home a meat tray each.

There were two high quality singles games on Sunday morning with Bob Gard leading Peter Cleary 23 to 16 only to stumble and go down 25 to 23. Rod Parkes and Bernie Wolland sparred with each other for 26 ends before Rod took the honours.
