Sport is a big part of any community, and that message was reinforced through a recent survey of what you'd like to see more of on The Newsport.

That's why we've dedicated an entire section of The Newsport to local sport - from junior netball, soccer, and AFL to the big boys and girls who sweat it out every week on the courts, fields, courses and tracks in our area.

We've already got a network of contributors including Treveen Page (Junior Netball), Adam Calcraft (Rugby Union), Des Rolfe (AFL), Jason Carr (Junior Soccer), Jo Westgate (Junior AFL), Mick Gwilliams (Sailing), Nicky G with his Sports Wrap, and more to come.

But we're keen to make it more than just match reports and scores. Video interviews and photo galleries will be just some of the new content you'll have access to.

And what's more, once we get the story, we post the story, so you don't have to wait longer than you need to.
