Airport arrivals continue to rise
The latest figures for arrivals at Cairns International Airport have been released with positive signs that more people are travelling to the area.
In the domestic market during October 148,865 passengers disembarked at Cairns, up 6% from 2009 and steady on last month's figures.
International visitors also increased as 30,158 people flew into Cairns in October, up 30% on last year's figure of 23,220.
Year to date figures are also up across the board from 2009 with the domestic market up 5.5% and the international market up 29%.
Two new long term parking areas are now on offer at Cairns Airport, the Domestic Long Term Car Park and the Budget Long Term Car Park.
The Domestic Long-Term Car Park is a dedicated area located within the southern (departures) end of the Domestic Car Park, while the Budget Long-Term option is available anywhere within the International Car Park.
