New single for former Eagle
Port Douglas-based singer songwriter Omid Master is back with a new single.
The performer, who has been writing and recording under the guise of ‘Eagle’, is reverting back to his own name as he continues to pursue his independent solo career.
“I experienced both on and off-air situations of being confused with ‘The Eagles’ and this could lead to misinterpretations,” he explains.
ARIA nominated record producer and brother Mobin Master liked the song so much he took over production of the track and played the keyboard parts.
The new song ‘When I Close My Eyes’ is due out later this month. “When I Close My Eyes is written about how I can still enjoy life’s challenges by imagining myself in another place,” Omid explains.
He has also created his own record label ‘Omcore Music’. “The label will represent indie pop music,” he said.
“Indie pop is a growing area that was not catered for in the past. There is now a merging number of high profile stations aimed at finding new indie music and there is a strong public sentiment resonating good quality indie pop music.”
Omid recently opened for Jessica Mauboy at one of her shows.
