Sugar Wharf hosts local artists
On Wednesday evening, August 25th, three local artists opened their exhibition at the iconic Port Douglas Sugar Wharf overlooking the mouth of the Dickson Inlet where it meets the Coral Sea.
This unique combination of art featured contemporary painting, photography and Pottery. Che from Studio Che 16 exhibited six oil paintings, three of which were painted on canvas and three on Belgium linen. Nanna Soderstrom exhibited seven of her unique photographic artworks and Potter Peter Thompson from Kuranda exhibited a whole range of his pottery art.
The exhibition was enjoyed by an invited audience of local dignatories who strolled around the exhibits and chatted with the artists, whilst savouring the wine and mixed canapes in the exhibition hall and outside on the boardwalk with a gorgeous sunset as the picturesque backdrop.
The exhibition is open from 10am to until 7th September and all exhibits are available for sale.
