Flames extends trading

Flames of the Forest Aboriginal Cultural Experience are extending their trading to three nights a week with the addition of Tuesday to its long established Thursday and Friday evening schedule.  The extra night will commence from Tuesday, 6 July.

Managing Director of Flames of the Forest, Amelia Hannaford, says a third evening has been added to satisfy an increase in demand for authentic Indigenous experiences by international wholesalers and independent leisure travellers visiting Tropical North Queensland at the beginning of the week.

"It is extremely exciting to boost our operation with a third evening.  It has always been disappointing to turn those guests away who were not going to be in the region on Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights.  We hope the Tuesday evening will give many more travellers the opportunity to enjoy this extremely special cultural and dining experience." she said.

Flames of the Forest has kick started the year with a magical new look for its 2010 season with the added benefit of a reduced carbon footprint. The introduction of environmentally friendly LED lights and bio-ethanol flaming vessels couple with the installation of stunning new crystal and budlight chandeliers, further enhances the  special effects of an evening of entertainment in the Tropical North Queensland rainforest.

Complementing the new look, are new tasting menus showcasing the regionís best seasonal produce and an enhanced program of Indigenous entertainment.

Tucked away in a fairytale pocket of rainforest, Flames of the Forest has a banquet seating capacity of 900 with all the infrastructure and comfort clients need, but with the magic only an off-site event can provide.

Since 2003, Flames of the Forest has gained an international reputation for its rainforest experience which combines a magnificent six course banquet dinner in a spectacular candlelit setting with a traditional and authentic Aboriginal performance featuring story-telling, music and song from brothers who spent their childhood in the surrounding valley.

Flames of the Forest has won awards for its innovation and cuisine including being a finalist in the 2009 Australian Event Awards, has been  listed in Australian Traveller Magazine as one of the 'Top 100 Things to do in Australia and now, its 100 Greatest Australian Gourmet Experiences.
