Lou Reed finds peace in Port Douglas

Legendary musician Lou Reed has been visiting the Port Douglas region over the past week, getting some rest and relaxation in the Port Douglas Hinterland at the stunning Silky Oaks Lodge where he stayed for five nights before checking out on Monday.
The 68 year old American is best known for his work in The Velvet Underground in the 1960's, before launching a successful solo career with songs such as 'Walk on the wild side' and 'Perfect day'.
Port Douglas continues to be the holiday destination of choice for many big names in the entertainment world who are in need of a tranquil sojourn.
Lou Reed now joins Pink and Lady Gaga as just some of the hugely famous faces who have visited Port Douglas recently.
