Winter Cricket Starts in North QLD

After the first Winter Cricket was played last year, enough interest was generated for another season to commence. There has been a bit of a shack up with draw and amount of teams entered.

 

This season there are only a 6 teams which are made up of players from all over Cairns Cricket association region. Even some members of the premiership side, The Port Douglas Mudcrabs Cricket Club will be playing in the competition.

 

All games this season will be played on the new Turf Wicket at Fuller Park Edmonton. Mulgrave Cricket Club has offered their new ground to be the Home of Winter Cricket for 2010! The Winter Cricket organisers made special mention and thanks to Gavern Lovett and Mulgrave Cricket Club for providing the ground,  as without this assistance Winter Cricket would be possible.

The first weekend of play will be the 4th July next! All remaining games will be played on Sundays aswell. There will be three gamesplayed on the one day each week givinhg maximum amount of enjoyment to the spectators.
 

Game times will be:

1 – 8.30am – 11.30am

2 – 11.30am – 2.30pm

3 – 2.30pm – 5.30pm

The fixture will be finalized in the next 2 days and circulated to you all.
