Trouble brewing in Sawdust Creek
Our friends David and Tyna White from Solar Whisper Daintree River Cruises have reported that through this week on the River they and their guests have seen two new adult male crocodiles in the area.
One was hiding at the mouth of Sawdust Creek all day and was only visible when the tide was so low that we could see its back.
Sawdust Creek is part of the territory resident mature adults Scarface and Fat Albert have been feuding over so this 3.5m croc will have to stay out of their way.
Fat Albert is the King of this part of the river and his nemesis Scarface has enough trouble sharing the river with him alone but two new interlopers, this will all end in tears!
On Monday the river cruisers saw another very unusual visitor passing through the tour area. A crocodile just a bit smaller than Scarface but with a very strange upturned snout which points at the sky.
It could just be a visitor passing through but it was too irresistible an opportunity not to name him, everyone agreed he should be christened 'Banana Head'.
