New general manager Dave Joyce held the first music trivia quiz of the season at Plantation Resort on Wednesday evening (Feb 3rd). This was the first trivia quiz solely dedicated to rock and pop music to held at Plantation Resort.

They are usually home to the general Trivia Quiz challenge but Dave said 'We thought we'd try something different and see how it would go".  The evening was a great success, there were no restrictions to the number of players to each team, if they could sit around the table they could be on the team, was the rule.

But in fact it was a team with just 6 players, 'The Cask Wine All Stars' who ran away with the top prize witha massive total of 66 points from the five rounds of fifteen questions each.  Joint runners up were 'Hot stuff' and the 'Also Rans' on 51 points with the straggglers of the 'Sensational Sixties' and 'Yesterdays News' way behind on 39pts and 23 pts respectively. 

Between each round Dave organised some bonus chances to win spot prizes where he started playing a song and nominated contestants from each team had to try to sing the missing words, when I say sing, that had a loose interpretation of making noise that sounded like the words but the prizes were well fought and a good night was had by all.

We asked Dave and his wife Donna if this was to be a one off, they confirmed after the success of this evening, there would definitely be more to come.  As soon as we dates confirmed, we'll let you know.
