Video | G'day Port Douglas & Daintree: Meet Dr Alex

THREE MINUTES WITH A LOCAL

This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces local GP, Dr Alex Bernhardi.

In the video above, Dr Alex talks about her journey and how she ended up in the Douglas Shire.

From moving to Australia from Germany in 2005 to realising her passion for preventative and nutritional medicine.

She says that one of the best things about living here is the spaciousness, both physical and creative. She feels that here, you're not held to stereotypes and can truly live how you want to live.

In her spare time when she isn't heading a community thinktank or teaching others about healthy living, she often finds herself whipper-snipping and pruning.

G’day Port Douglas & Daintree’ is a series of videos featuring Douglas Shire locals sharing their lives and what inspires them to live in this beautiful part of the world.
