How will your business survive when government assistance is gone?

BUSINESS FEATURE

It’s a reality that the COVID virus has hit the economy hard, particularly those businesses that rely on tourism and hospitality. While State and Federal Governments have taken unprecedented steps to protect our citizens and support business, the short-term outlook remains challenging for us all.

However, prosperity will return and every business must do everything in their power to survive through to the good times.

David Rosenblum, Managing Director of AMR Commercial, a well established business advisory firm, recently visited Far North Queensland on a fact finding mission.

David’s view, shared by many, is that, following the wind back of Government support programs, there will be a steady increase in insolvencies over the next month or two, building to a predicted tsunami of business failures as we move into the New Year.

David is based in Brisbane but has acted for a number of well-known companies in Far North Queensland and has a great affinity for the region. He intends to visit the north on a regular basis to assist local business.

“Local businesses need to critically review their operational and financial health as a priority to ensure their immediate survival and their capacity to survive and prosper following the upcoming removal of the various Government assistance programs.”

“If your business does have issues, these issues must be confronted now. Don’t put your head in the sand, comforted by Government support, and hope everything will be alright. It won’t be alright and judgement day is not far off.”

To support the local community, AMR Commercial is offering a simple diagnostic service, at no charge, to help businesses undertake a health check and identify issues that they need to deal with as a priority.

David said AMR Commercial will not be inflating its costs or profiteering in any way in these difficult circumstances. They will only provide the level of direction required for each client, and no more. It will be more of a mentoring process.
