It’s a reality that the COVID virus has hit the economy hard, particularly those businesses that rely on tourism and hospitality. While State and Federal Governments have taken unprecedented steps to protect our citizens and support business, the short-term outlook remains challenging for us all.

David’s view, shared by many, is that, following the wind back of Government support programs, there will be a steady increase in insolvencies over the next month or two, building to a predicted tsunami of business failures as we move into the New Year.

David is based in Brisbane but has acted for a number of well-known companies in Far North Queensland and has a great affinity for the region. He intends to visit the north on a regular basis to assist local business.

“Local businesses need to critically review their operational and financial health as a priority to ensure their immediate survival and their capacity to survive and prosper following the upcoming removal of the various Government assistance programs.”
