Magazine editor Sarah Cullen said amorousness ‘was everywhere’ in Port Douglas and the latest edition aimed to celebrate it.

“Romance and Port Douglas go hand-in-hand,” she said.

“Whether you are talking about climate, the scenery or the overall vibe, it’s not hard to fall in love with Port Douglas.

“As someone who arrived as a visitor, extended my stay, met and fell in love with my husband, got married and added some children, I guess I am a clear example of this.

“Port Douglas welcomed, offered and provided a tropical lifestyle that was hard to beat.”

Those celebrating a successful proposal in paradise are also invited to raise a glass. The iconic St Mary’s By the Sea and Salsa Bar and Grill are offering the newly engaged to celebrate with a glass of bubbles through a Ring the Bell campaign (see page 45).

While lovers have the chance to ‘lock their love’ by finding the heart of Port Douglas at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina (see page 37).

Striving to keep visitors healthy on the inside too, the magazine introduces local entrepreneurs in a Wild Women of Food feature.

With a natural desire to enjoy paddock to plate, Sarah said Port Douglas provided a home to some of the countries best restaurants and caterers to suit all occasions, tastes and budgets.

“We are fortunate enough to have an abundance of fresh produce and start-up businesses in the region have flourished,” she said.

PORT DOUGLAS Magazine is out now.
