PORT Douglas plumber Geoff Ward is chopping off his dreadlocks in the name of charity this Sunday.
Geoff has sported his beloved locks for more than 14 years but will watch them hit the floor at the Port Douglas Sporting Complex as part of the KINDest Cut, which aims to raise funds for kids in need across the region.
Port Douglas football club members Louise Wall, Chris Bradsworth, Kallam Oats, Oscar Dodge, Jordan Chapman and Tyrone Orford will join him as they shave their heads and beards for the cause.
Sunday’s family day will include entertainment for the kids, a licensed bar and plenty of food. A number of local businesses have also donated vouchers to be auction off throughout the afternoon.
Donations can be deposited into the below bank account.
