A 49-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a bulldozer accident on a private property in Julatten.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told Newsport this morning the man, from Julatten, was driving the dozer when it rolled down an embankment. It’s believed he was trapped underneath.

“We believe the gentleman was doing some land clearing for the owners of a private property,” the police spokesperson said.

“The man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Police were called to the property sometime after 10.30pm, although the accident could have occurred up to six hours earlier.

The Forensic Crash Unit are continuing investigations and are likely to prepare a report for Workplace Health and Safety.
