Crocs get a case of deja vu against Lions

AFL CAIRNS

IT was a case of deja vu for Port Douglas on Saturday as they kept Cairns City Lions goalless for the second time this season.

The Crocs dismantled the undermanned Lions to record a massive 34.12 (216) to 0.1 (1) victory at Holloway Beach Sporting Complex. It was an eerily similar scoreline to their round 11 meeting when Port crushing Cairns City 35.27 (237) to 0.2 (2).

It took until the final term for the home side to register their first and only point as the reigning premier put on another clinic in Cairns.

Troy Lehman was judged best-on-ground for the Crocs while Kye Chapple took his season tally to 112 with a 12-goal haul. Adam Gross (four goals), Joshua Lea, Jack Riley and Dylan Wearmouth were also dominant for the Crocs, who will now prepare for a finals dress-rehearsal against South Cairns Cutters this weekend.
