THE Wonderland Spiegeltent fires up for another year on Friday night with premiere of La Soirée.

With Port Douglas Carnivale only one week away, the festivities begin tomorrow night with the opening of this award winning show.

The variety spectacular has graced stages from New York to Paris, London, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong and Montreal, and is now set to wow audiences in Port Douglas.

 It’s just one of a host of events to be showcased in the Spiegeltent over the next 10 days, which is located in Dixie Park. A huge ferris wheel also accompanies it this year.

Festival director Melissa Head, from Knockout Events, said the huge program this year would showcase the tropical region in all it’s glory with local produce, artists, musicians and performers.

“We have a range of ticketed and free events for all ages,” she said.

“Don’t see one show, see them all!”

Newsport ticket giveaway

Newsport is giving away a major prize of booth seating to this Saturday night’s (May 20) La Soirée show. The booth seats up to eight guests which includes table service.
