A 47-year-old Forrest Beach woman was charged yesterday following investigations into a number of property related offences allegedly committed in the Cooktown area between 2014 and earlier this year.

It will be alleged the woman was involved in the theft of building materials from a property at Rossville in late 2014, the theft of a truck and trailer from a Helenvale property in December 2015 and the theft of electrical cabling from a mine site at Rossville between December 2015 and January this year.

Cooktown detectives charged the woman with two counts of entering premises and stealing as well as one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

She is expected to appear in the Cooktown Magistrates Court on February 9.
