Sy Dolphin joins Mossman's 'hole-in-one' Hall of Fame plus the rest of the Mossman Golf Results for week ending August 28

Mossman member Sy Dolphin produced a brilliant shot on Sunday, and flushed a 5 hybrid to score his first hole-in-one on the 175m par 3 17th hole.  

His excited fellow players picked him up to celebrate the great achievement which could be heard from the clubhouse.  Sy thanked his friends Matty Coulthard and Daniel Coulthard, who maintain the course in great condition with the assistance of a number of volunteers. 

 

Mossman Golf Club’s Tuesday Par event sponsored by The Court House Hotel was won by Bernie Boon with +4 ahead of Leon Baker +3 on a count-back to Mal Phillips.

JUNIORS -  The Club is hosting free beginners clinics each Tuesday 5pm – 6pm for youngsters aged 6 – 17 years.

Wednesday’s nine hole stableford event was won by Shona Barbour with 24 points r/up Graeme Scott 20 and John Cameron 19 on a count-back.

NTP’s – Ron Smith and John Cameron.  

 

Thursday’s Ladies event was won by Maxine Leigh with 38 points on a count-back to Shirley Carney and in 3rd place Kerri-Lyn Williams 35.

The very popular Friday nine hole Mossman Butchering Steak Bash was won by Dan Hober with 21 points on a count-back to Geoff Withers.

The first round of the Hatfield Electrical Classic was held on Saturday, with the 4BBB event won by Barry Eldridge & Warren Bishop with 46 points on a count-back to Darryl Degenhardt & Margie Dewhurst.

Sunday’s Individual Stableford winners – Couper Smith 39 points on a count-back to Ethan Bell.

Ladies winner – Julie Hooker 36 points ahead of Judy Kraidy 35 on a count-back to Lisa Smith.

The winner of the Hatfield Electrical Classic was Couper Smith with runner up Bill McCarthy.
