THE long running Mossman Lions Club is on a membership drive.

The club is in its 50th year and raises much needed funds that get poured back into the community. Their trivia nights, charity events and golf days are legendary and club president John Liddell said it was important they attract new members.

“We need to get some new people into the club with some fresh ideas, and it’s a lot of fun.” Liddell said.

“We have two meetings a month with one held in Mossman and the other held in Port Douglas. If anyone is looking to join then we’d love to hear form you.”

Joining the Lions Club allows members to establish business and personal networks, develop friendships, have a good time helping members of the community and also gives many a feeling of self-worth and purpose.
