Skipper Adam Lucas won the toss on a stinking hot day and was quite happy to send the Barron lads out to field first, things didn’t start of too good for the Crabs though loosing 4 quick wickets for just 19 runs.

With our backs against the wall the muddies needed something to happen to steady the ship. Enter Ethan Mc Culloch and Benny V, knowing something was needed these two put on a fantastic 108 run partnership to get the crabs back in a winning position before Benny V fell for 42 score at 5 for 127.

Young Ethan was next to go for a well-made 37.

Darren Wall's string of not outs finally came to an end with the skipper running him out for just 3. The Muddies finished there inning 9 for 151 with Randel Smith retired hurt with quite a nasty hamstring injury. Rest up young man and we will see you back out on the park soon.

With the innings break the Crabs thought there may have been a break in the heat well that wasn’t going to happen, realising there was nothing they could do about mother nature the Crabs turned their attention to Barron and the job ahead.

With a switched on Muddies outfit walking out onto the field the lads new what had to be done and it didn’t take to long before a fired up 'Captain Grumpy' produced a peach of a short ball smashing into the Barron batsman popping the ball in the air for a simple catch; Barron 1/11

Things didn’t really get any better for Barron 2/27, 3/30, 4/30, 5/48, /6/56, 7/65, 8/73, 9/83, all out for 91 with everyone bowling to plan and some great catching the crabs were un stoppable.
