Development of the Ocean Breeze Estate at Cooya Beach continues to gather pace with consistent buyer activity driving sales and the construction of new display homes.

With the first five releases almost completely sold (two 500m2 blocks remain in Stage 3A), the recently released Stage 5B on Barrbal Drive has already recorded six sales from a total of 19 available blocks.

Current block sizes in 5B range from 700m2 – 760m2, with prices starting from $119,000.

Underground services and close proximity to Lou Prince Park, the beach and boat ramp are just some of the features proving popular with buyers.

LJ Hooker’s Joel Van Kalken (pictured) said the buyer demographic was quite diverse, ranging from first home buyers to couples, young families, empty nesters and retirees.

“Increasingly we are fielding enquiries from not only local, but interstate buyers as well who recognise the value of Cooya Beach, what it has to offer, and its proximity to both Mossman and Port Douglas,” he said.

In response to this buyer demand, the team at NQ Homes has recently completed their newest display home on Cooya Beach Road that is open for inspection daily between Monday and Friday. This follows the sale of their former display home earlier in the year.

Cairns-based Dixon Homes has also recently entered the market, offering a range of three, four and five bedroom house and land packages.

“In addition to the house and land packages, the estate’s established homes that have come back on to the market are also proving popular with buyers,” Joel explained.

“Again, it’s a combination of value for money teamed with location and the new build feel – but with most if not all of the hard work done.”
